Men's Ministry

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14

Historically and biblically, men have been essential to the fulfillment of the Church's mission and the spread of the gospel. Men have served in crucial positions of leadership in all areas of ministry, clergy and lay, domestic and international.  Nazarene Men's Ministries follows in that tradition by affirming, teaching, modeling, informing, and inspiring men of all ages and nationalities for meaningful Kingdom service.

Today men are becoming more aware of their spiritual needs and God's call upon their lives. They are systematically gathering to seek God's will and counsel. Nazarene Men's Ministries is committed to touching that need with resources and support.

We have activities and events throughout the year to meet the needs of our men and also to provide an extra spiritual boost to them as well.  Some of those include:

Skeet and Meat - an Annual Skeet Shoot and meal.  This event usually takes place on a                                                    Saturday in September.

Manly Coffee - This is an ongoing ministry, held on the 2nd Saturday of every month.

We meet in the Lobby area.

Come help us solve the world's problems, one cup at a time!

No Structure, No Teacher, No Leader...Just men with endless coffee and

timeless wisdom spending time with each other.

Special events/retreats - Throughout the year, our men may attend a Men's                                                                                     Retreat/Conference, enjoy a fishing trip, or some other activity.

Friday morning Bible Study, Donuts, and Coffee - At 9 am every Friday morning (except for special holidays) our men gather together in the coffee bar area for Bible study,                                                  Donuts, and Coffee.  We invite all men to join us as we study God's word together.  He is awesome and He is Holy.

Our desire is that all men become better men....better fathers, better husbands, better sons, and so on and so forth.  With the powerful help of the Holy Spirit, we CAN be all that God has called us to be!

Children's Ministry

Children’s Ministries – Sunday School and Discipleship Ministries

Sunday School and Discipleship Ministries International believes the lives of children are impacted most effectively by a holistic approach. A holistic approach impacts lives mentally, physically, spiritually and socially.

-Mentally through education to children’s minds.

-Physically through compassion to have children’s basic needs met.

-Spiritually through evangelism to reach children for Christ.

-Socially through discipleship to strengthen children’s faith.

This holistic approach is biblical and is modeled in the life of Jesus. Luke 2:52 reveals how Jesus’ life was shaped in a holistic fashion. Jesus grew in wisdom (mentally) and stature (physically), and in favor with God (spiritually) and men (socially).

Women's Ministry

Holy Life Church of the Nazarene recognizes all believers are called to minister to all people.

We also affirm Christ calls some men and women to a specific and public ministry even as He chose and ordained His 12 apostles. When the church, illuminated by the Holy Spirit, recognizes such a divine call, the church endorses and assists the individual’s entry into a lifetime of ministry.

Theology of Women in Ministry. Holy Life Church of the Nazarene supports the right of women to use their God-given spiritual gifts within the church and affirms the historic right of women to be elected and appointed to places of leadership within the Church, including the offices of both elder and deacon.

The purpose of Christ’s redemptive work is to set God’s creation free from the curse of the Fall. Those who are “in Christ” are new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17). In this redemptive community, no human being is to be regarded as inferior on the basis of social status, race, or gender (Galatians 3:26–28). Acknowledging the apparent paradox created by Paul’s instruction to Timothy (1 Timothy 2:11–12) and to the church in Corinth (1 Corinthians 14:33–34), we believe interpreting these passages as limiting the role of women in ministry presents serious conflicts with specific passages of scripture that commend female participation in spiritual leadership roles (Joel 2:28–29; Acts 2:17–18; 21:8–9; Romans 16:1, 3, 7; Philippians 4:2–3), and violates the spirit and practice of the Wesleyan-holiness tradition. Finally, it is incompatible with the character of God presented throughout Scripture, especially as revealed in the person of Jesus Christ.
